Summary At least 24 people have been killed in rain-related incidents in different parts of the country.
At least 24 people were killed and 20 others injured while scores of houses collapsed as heavy rains wreaked havoc in different parts of Pakistan.According to details, 35-year-old Lateef and his wife died as the roof of their house collapsed in Gawalmandi area of Lahore.In another incident occurred in district Kasur, a youth was electrocuted to death.Two people died due to roof collapse and electrocution in Faisalabad.In Kamalia, a killed died while two others sustained injuries during rain.In another incident of roof collapse, Muhammad saleem’s wife Aesha and daughter Tayyaba got injured in Gala Mandi area of Nankana Sahib.Meanwhile, one person killed while three were injured as roof of another house collapsed in Rajanpur.In interior Sindh, a five-year-old child was killed due to roof collapse.In the same way, a 50-year-old man fell victim to death in wall collapse incident in Hala while a man died when he came under the debris of roof collapsed due to heavy rain in Mian Channun.In Toba Tek Singh, three people were killed and seven others sustained injuries in different incidents of roof collapse.Likewise, three people got hurt as a roof a house collapsed on Multan Bahawalpur Road while a youth was electrocuted to death on Hazoori Bagh Road.In D G Khan, eight people including three children got hurt as roof of their house collapsed due to downpour.At Jevan Shah Colony in Rahimyar Khan, a dwelling collapsed, causing demise of a man.In Sanpal colony of Sahiwal, two ill-fated men died while three others were severely injured.Muzaffargarh also came under spell of downpour where roofs of a large number of housed collapsed, killing two kids and hurting two men.
