Summary Renowned literary personality died eight years ago but yet he is alive in the hearts of his fans.
He will always be remembered for his unique and outstanding literary masterpieces in Urdu language.Fiction writer, dramatist, prose writer Ashfaq Ahmad was born on August 22, 1925 in Lahore. He passed his MA from Government College Lahore and then got diplomas from Italian and French universities. Apart from this, he also got special training of broadcasting from New York University.He rendered his services as a teacher in a Roman university. He was appointed as director of Central Urdu Board in 1966.After establishment of Pakistan, he earned name and fame in literary field. Turning point in his life came when he met a spiritual personality who gave his life a new direction and vision.Talqeen Shah, the creator of Tota Kahani and Aik Mohabbat 100 Afsaanay, also stayed at Mehman Sarare.In old age, he suffered from liver disease and ultimately died on September 7, 2004.His wife Bano Qudsia is also a renowned figure.
