Summary A noted Rawalpindi religious leader likely to be apprehended in Rimsha Masih case.
Such move has been initiated following recording of more evidence against Maulana Khalid Jadoon.Well placed sources said government agencies were probing the matter why the Ramna police so quickly registered this case that even the legal formalities were not met.Legal experts are of the view that in such sensitive cases the opinion of law section of police department is solicited but in this case no heed was given to this opinion and it was overlooked.Sources said police was shifting all the burden of the case to Khalid Jadoon to protect their fellow cops.As per available information name of an important religious leader is being mentioned in this case who is allegedly stated to have motivated Mumtaz Qadri in the killing of former governor Punjab Suleman Taseer.Sources said Khalid Jadoon had planned eviction of Christian families from their homes at the behest of this religious leader from Rawalpindi. A religious madrissah was to be built and a plot was to be gifted to Rawalpindi religious leader out of this land . But this plan met failure following the recording of evidence by Hafiz Zubair against Maulana Khalid Jadoon.When contacted religious leader from Rawalpindi alleged police was doing so to implicate Khalid Jadoon in this case therefore it was giving a biased turn to the case. He also accused that a police officer hailing from a particular religious sect was taking keen interest in this case and this officer had used his influence in handing over charge of shrine of Ahle Sunnah to his sect in Aabpara.
