The electricity shortfall in the country again jumped to 5,200 MW due to the non-supply of furnace oil.The electricity crisis will intensify if a payment of 20 billion ruppes was not made to PSO immediately, Dunya News learnt.According to NDT sources, three power plants have been shut while generation of electricity has been decreased at seven power stations due to the absence of furnace oil.The total power generation was recorded as 12,900 MW against the demand of 17,300 MW.According to sources, power plants have been supplied with 24,000 tonnes of furnace oil instead of 39,000 tonnes.The loadshedding hours in rural areas have been increased to 16 hours.
