Summary Power shortfall is gaining momentum across Punjab as it has risen to 3832 MW in the country.

According to Power Management Cell report, the energy production remained 13,790 MW while the consumption was 17022 MW across the country. Hence the shortfall rose to 3832 MW, it reported.Loadshedding continued for eight to 10 hours a day as well as during the night in the provincial capital Lahore badly affecting the daily life of the citizens and business activities.Outages period has increased for 14 to 16 hours in small cities and towns of the province.
