Summary Sindh IG Fayaz Laghari has said that peace in Karachi cannot be restored within short period.
Latest surveillance system would be introduced in the metropolis for protection of lives and properties of the people.While recording his statement before the Sindh Public Accounts Committee, Sindh IG said that there is an improvement in law and order situation in Karachi and the interior Sindh. Bids of street crime, extortion and murder have been decreased by 50% during Ramzan.He complained that Karachi police is confronted by shortage of man power; that is why it finds itself unable to cope with the issues of law and order. If the provincial government arranges enough number of security forces, law and order situation in the metropolis may be more satisfactory.He emphasized that law enforcing institutions would continue their endeavours to keep the situation normal in the city.
