Military operations cannot end terrorism: Fazl

Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl, Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Sunday said there is no definition of terrorism and extremism in the UN and Geneva Convention Human Rights Charter but America has defined it as bloodshed and implemented it on Madaris and its students.He expressed these views while addressing a “Fuzalaa Conference” arranged in connection with “Dastar Bandi” at Madrassa Jamia Rabbani on Sunday. District Ameer Maulna Shujaul Mulk and other also addressed the meeting.Maulana said that there is a network of more than 15,000 Madaris under Wafaqul Madaris from which more than 100,000 religious scholars complete their religious education and come out to serve the people and these Madaris are working under the laws of government of Pakistan.He further said that he told the establishment, government and bureaucracy that they destroyed the country while due to the policies of JUI-F and these religious scholars the country is safe. “By force don’t push us towards terrorism and extremism,” he added.He said that Pakistan lost 90 billion dollars in the so-called war of terror while the USA gave 6 to 7 billion dollars aid to Pakistan in the last 10 years.He added that in the last 10 years America and NATO forces did not finish terrorism in Afghanistan and destroyed Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon and other Arab countries on the name of terrorism then how can Pakistan finish the so-called terrorism in Pakistan and especially in Waziristan through army operations.“Tribesmen are loyal to this country and Pakistan government through Armey operations wants to compel the tribesmen to change their loyalty to the country”, he added.Maulana Fazlur Rehman further said that through operations we are cultivating the seeds of hate and fire and it will destroy our next generation. He added that what decision FATA people make, Jamiat will support FATA people.He said that MMA was a good experiment and in the current time its re-organisation was need of the hour but unfortunately Defa-e-Pakistan Council is hurdle in restoration of MMA.He further said that the country was ruled by the agents of Christians for the last 62 years and now the agents of Jews want to rule the country.He said that JUI-F is struggling for change in the country under the constitution and law of Pakistan and will continue its struggle.
