After facing the electricity crisis, Karachiites are to suffer the water crisis as in its fresh dispute with Water Board Head Office, the Karachi Electricity Supply Company (KESC) has cut down the electric supply to the office including all pumping stations across the city, Dunya News Wednesday reported. The dispute between the two departments is said to have surfaced over the clearance of electricity bills. According to the KESC Head Navid Ismail Water Board has to pay above Rs 8 billion to the company. He revealed that the board consumed an electricity of Rs 250 million every month but it had not paid the bill since long. The electricity supply to the main water pumping stations including Peri, Gharo, Dhaneji and others has been cut down, he added. Four-hour long load shedding on everyday basis will be observed unless the board clears the dues of the KESC, the spokesman informed. Four-hour long load shedding has already started on all pumping stations across the city, Dunya News learnt
