Summary Eid will likely be celebrated on August 20 in most parts of the country.
The Met office said the moon of Shawwal is less likely to be sighted on August 18, hence Eidul Fitr may fall on August 20.According to the Met Department, Shawwal moon will emerge after 32 hours due to which the chances are thin that it would be sighted in any part of Pakistan today. The weather would be cloudy on August 18 in most parts of Pakistan with Lahore in particular.However, the Met office said the final decision regarding moon-sighting will be taken by central and zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees today.
