Summary At least 10 more people were shot dead in target killing incidents in different parts of Karachi.
New wave of target killing in Karachi has claimed 10 more lives. According to details, first incident of firing took place in Sector 5C4 area of New Karachi where some unidentified persons riding on motorcycle opened indiscriminate firing and killed three people. Two of the deceased were identified as Mujeeb and Yahya.In the second incident, some armed miscreants opened fire at the tea stall at Disco More area in New Karachi and critically injured six people.The injured were rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where five of them succumbed to their wounds. The deceased were identified as Zahoor, Sharjeel, Naveed, Shaukat and Atif.Earlier, two persons were shot dead in target killing incident Federal B Area and Water Punp Chorangi. The deceased were identified as Shakir and Asif.Residents of the area staged a protest after the incident raised slogans against police and administration. The protesters also blocked Shahra-e-Pakistan by burning tyres.Heavy contingents of police and Rangers reached the site after the incident. Police resorted to aerial firing to disperse to protesters. Police also arrested six protesters.Meanwhile, DG Rangers visited the affected areas of the city to review the situation. IG Sindh has sought report of the fresh incidents of target killing in the city.
