Summary FIA informed the court that passports of Mohsin Warich and two BoD members have been cancelled.
A three-member bench of the SC headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the National Insurance Company Ltd scandal case.Federal Investigation Agency Director Legal Azam Khan presented an interim report, stating that passports of Mohsin Warich and two other members of Board of Director have been cancelled.The Supreme Court rejected the interim report, saying why recoveries are not being made in Lahore and who is the in-charge of FIA there.Azam Khan informed the court that Waqar Haider was the director FIA in Lahore.On this, Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry questioned if it was Waqar Hairder who stopped Zafar Qureshi from appearing before the bench on court’s directives. The CJ said that Waqar Haider was facing contempt of court.The apex court summoned Secretary Trade for today and adjourned the hearing till his appearance.
