Security forces kill 16 militants in Swat

Security forces killed 16 militants, at least two of them senior Taliban commanders, while one soldier was martyred in clashes during search operation in Swat on Monday. According to ISPR, the forces killed four militants during search operation in Chrbagh area in which militant commanders Maqbool and Shaukat were also murdered. On the other hand, eight militants were killed in clashes with the security forces in Jholgram, Kalinki road. One militant was killed and a soldier was martyred in a skirmish in Kozbam Khela near Matta. Two militants were killed in a Mana Serki cave. One militant was killed in Shagai area of Dir while a jacket, made for suicide attack and a landmine were recovered. Security forces arrested three miscreants after a clash from an area near Matta.
