Summary Rural and urban areas face load shedding for more than 13 hours.
According to National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTTC) official, the electricity consumption was 18,205 mega watts while the generation was not more than 14,245 that resulted into a shortfall of 960 megawatts.Due to the difference in generation and consumption of electricity, residents of rural and urban areas are facing load shedding for more than 13 hours even in the month of Ramazan.Meanwhile, the officials said that consumption was likely to reduce due to monsoon after which load shedding hours will also be decreased.
