Summary Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman has said Pakistans agriculture has been destroyed by the Indian dams.
In a statement issued on Monday, Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman maintained that if India constructs dams on River Chenab, River Ravi and River Indus, it will hold back establishment of peace in the sub-continent.He observed India is violating the Indus Basin Treaty of 1960 according to which it has no right to stop inflow of water to the three Pakistani rivers.Contrary to the Indus Basin Treaty, India is also constructing dams on the stream originating from River Chenab, he noted.Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Affairs, Fazl-ur-Rehman said India produces electricity from Occupied Jammu and Kashmir but ironically the people of Occupied Kashmir are facing power outages.He said the Indian leaders pretend that they are friends with Pakistan in order to please the world, on one hand and on the other, it does not let go any opportunity of harming Pakistan.He urged Indian leaders to realize their claims about real friendship with Pakistan.
