US embassy issues alert for its citizens

The US embassy has recommended its citizens to defer all non-essential travels.

Due to security concerns, the U.S. Embassy has asked its citizens in Pakistan to refrain from going to public areas on August 14 and during Eid-ul-Fitr days.The security alert highlights the continued potential danger posed by the presence of al-Qaida and Taliban to the US citizens.
