Summary PM Raja says democracy is gaining strength in the country due to the sagacity of political parties.
He was addressing the meeting of Council of Common Interests (CCI) in Islamabad on Wednesday.PM Raja said we are heading towards the next general elections and the government is determined to fulfill its constitutional responsibilities.He said the forum of Council of Common Interests carries great significance in the resolution of national issues, adding thatmajority of the decisions taken by the council have been implemented.The meeting is expected to accord approval to the Petroleum and Mineral policies. It is also discussing the restructuring plan for Pakistan Railways.The meeting is being attended by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif‚ Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah‚ Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amir Haider Khan Hoti and Chief Minister Balochistan Aslam Raisani.Other members of the council include the ministers for science and technology‚ communication and inter provincial coordination.
