Summary At least seven people were killed in acts of violence in different parts of Karachi on Saturday.
According to details, some unidentified persons opened fire Gulbahar area and killed a security guard of a private company and injured a salesman. Traders in the area staged a protest against the incident and shut down the Cenetary Market.A man named Muhammad Iqbal was killed in firing incident in Golimar area while another man was shot dead in Buffer Zone area.Some unidentified persons shot dead a 30-year-old man in Bhanse Colony while a man was killed in Jahanabad area of Pak Colony.In Landhi 89 near petrole pump, some unidentified gunmen shot dead a man named Manzoor while his 13-year-old son Zakir was wounded.At least six people were wounded in firing incidents in Bilal Colony, Lyari, Garden, Light House and Sarjani areas.Meanwhile, a dacoit was killed in an ecounter with police in Sun Set area of Defence while his accomplice was arrested in injured condition. According to police, the dacoits were snatching a motorcycle in Defence area when police reached the spot. An encounter between police and dacoits took place in which a dacoit was killed. Police have also recoved stolen motorcycle and arms from dacoits.
