Summary Pervaiz Elahi has advised PML-N not to target Shaukat Khanum Hospital for political interest.
In a press statement issued on Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi said it is unfortunate that PML-N has made the Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital as a butt of its criticism.He termed it as an act of moral depravity on the part of the N-League.To denigrate a modern hospital engaged in providing matchless services to the cancer patients is the worst example of indulging in petty politics, he added.Chauhdry Pervaiz Elahi said that Shaukat Khanum Hospital is a non-political welfare institution which has been providing latest and quality treatment to millions of cancer patients without any discrimination, besides, giving free treatment to the deserving poor patients.He was of the opinion that the tirade unleashed against the hospital will not damage Imran Khan as much as it is going to cause irreparable loss to the cancer patients. The N-League had better shun its nefarious propaganda against it.Pervaizsaid that the poor state of affairs of government hospitals in Punjab and the insulting manner in which the doctors and patients are being treated in the province depicts the poor policies of the Punjab government. He said if a welfare institution is serving the patients it should not be stopped from doing its useful work.The N-League should not settle its score with the founder of Shaukat Khanum Hospital by victimizing the biggest and modern hospital of cancer, he added.
