Summary ISAF commander General John Allen will reach Pakistan on a one-day visit toady.
The military statement says Gen. John Allens meeting Thursday with Gen. Ashfaq Parvez Kayani will partly focus on ways to improve coordination with forces on either side of the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.It is Allens first visit since Pakistan ended its seven-month blockade of supplies for NATO troops in Afghanistan in early July. Pakistan closed the route through the country in November in retaliation for American airstrikes that killed 24 Pakistani soldiers.Pakistan agreed to reopen the supply line after the U.S. apologized for the deaths, which it says were accidental.The U.S. and Pakistan signed an agreement regulating the shipment of troop supplies to Afghanistan on Tuesday.
