Summary Payroll section of the Accountant General of Pakistan Revenue has not cleared the cheques as yet.
As per details, salaries of more than 70,000 government workers including officials of presidency, Prime Minister’s Secretariat, judges and parliamentarians have been stopped amid AGPR employee’ continued strike.Since June, the AGPR employees have been on strike, demanding either an end to the discriminatory practice of giving selected departments double salaries or extending the same facility to the AGPR.Officials of AGPR’s Joint Action Committee announced that strike will continue until equal allowance is being granted to the section.
