Summary PAC has sought the list of those 186 officers who got training at Harvard University USA in 2006.
The meeting of Public Accounts Committee was held at Parliament House on Monday. Chairman of the committee Nadim Afzal Chan presided over the meeting. The committee directed Establishment Division to submit full details within ten days , of the training programme, positive impact on the officers performance after training and criteria of selection of the officers for it.The committee also asked Establishment Division to provide the details of the foreign training of 363 officers in 2008-09 on which more than 63 million dollars were spent.The committee also ordered Ministry of Kashmir to hold an inquiry and submit report within one month on the matter relating to non recovery of Rs 0.691 million for construction of a road.The committee instructed Ministry of Finance to frame a policy for fixing a prescribed time period within six weeks for the officers who are made OSD as senior officers have been working as OSD for the last eight years.The committee was told that the members of FPSC enjoy the status of state minister.
