Summary The NEPRA has issued a notification for increase in power tariff of KESC by Rs1.60 per unit.

National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) officials told that power tariff has been increased under the fuel adjustment charges for the month of Jan, Feb and March.According to a notification, it is stated that Karachi Electric Supply Company KESC would collect Rs1.40 per unit under the fuel adjustment for the month of January.In second notification NEPRA has allowed the KESC to collect four paisa per unit under fuel adjustment charges of February in the bills of August.According to the third notification that issued here on Friday consumers of KESC would pay extra Rs 1.60 per unit for the month of March and these would be collected in the electricity bills of September.
