According to Dunya News, Indian FM SM Krishna has expressed determination in his statement that friendship with Pakistan has become essential after reconciliation on a lot of sensitive issues.Furthering his statement, he said that comradeship with Pakistan is also the need of hour.Indian External Affairs Minister S M Krishna will visit Islamabad on September 7 to participate in two-day Pakistan-India foreign minister-level talks, Foreign Office spokesperson Moazzam Ahmad Khan said on Wednesday. The talks will be held from September 8-9 in Islamabad, he said.The spokesperson said that the foreign ministers would review the progress on the current dialogue process and also prepare the framework for next round of talks to be held between the two countries under the resumed dialogue process.The talks were earlier scheduled to be held in July. However, they were postponed because of the Indian presidential election.Diplomats said that the Foreign Office and Indian External Affairs Ministry had agreed on the said dates. They said that Indian External Affairs Minister S M Krishna would arrive on a three-day visit on September 7.During his visit, Krishna will participate in the foreign minister level talks on September 8-9 in which Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar woululd lead Pakistan’sides.The sources said that the Indian External Affairs Minister was also scheduled to call on President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf. The sources said that Krishna was also likely to hold separate meetings with top Pakistani political leaders, including Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif, PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Awami National Party (ANP) chief Asfandyar Wali Khan. The foreign secretary level talks in September are being held after the officials concerned recently held a round of dialogue on a host of issues in New Delhi.Sources said that the foreign minister level talks were likely to be followed by the commerce secretary level talks.During the commerce secretary level talks, the sources said, the two sides would discuss the possibility of opening up more land customs stations.
