NRO case: Govt mulls review petition

The government is considering filing a petition for review in NRO implementation case.

The petition would be filed against verdict of the Supreme Court it announced on July 12.The sources told Dunya News that review petition is likely to be moved tomorrow on Wednesday in the Supreme Court.For this purpose, Attorney General Irfan Qadir is in consultation with the legal advisor to the government. Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf also has been busy in consultation with his legal advisors including the Minister for Law.It worthy of mention that the apex court had ordered the then prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani for submission of implementation report in the court by writing letter to the Swiss officials but he did not follow the court order. As a result, he had to deprive of his office for ever.
