Summary Lawyers are protesting against the contempt of court bill across the country.
Lawyers boycotted court proceedings in all cities including Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Faisalabad, Quetta, Multan, Sukkur, Gujranwala and Mainwali.The lawyers lamented that the bill was passed to provide protection to few people, adding that the new contempt of court bill has undermined the freedom of judiciary.The lawyers stated that the legal fraternity and the masses have rejected the bill.
