Summary A doctor of World Health Organisation (WHO) was gunned down in Godap Town area on Friday.
Police said unidentified gunmen riding a motorbike shot Doctor Ishaq, 38, who was standing outside Sana Clinic located in Godap Town. The assailants managed to flee while the victim was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.Besides running his own clinic, Muhammad Ishaq was also associated with anti-polio drive initiated by the WHO. The deceased was a resident of Quetta.It is pertinent to mention here that this was the second attack on the medical staffers associated with the anti-polio drive in Karachi. A WHO doctor narrowly escaped an attack on him two days ago in the same locality where it is believed outlawed TTP has influence.
