Summary Polling on vacant seat in the upper house will be held on August 8.
Senior Advisor to the Prime Minister Rehman Malik has submitted his nomination papers at the provincial election commission in Karachi for the technocrat seat in the Senate.Earlier he had resigned from the Senate seat on July 10, however, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leadership has again nominated him to fill the vacant seat in the upper house.Polling on the vacant seat will be held on August 8.Later talking to the media persons‚ Rehman Malik expressed gratitude to the party leadership and the allies for again reposing confidence in him.He said he is a Pakistani citizen and has submitted papers regarding relinquishing of British citizenship. He said if anyone has doubts about his nationality‚ he can challenge it in the court.
