Malik Riaz excuses appearing before NAB committee

Malik Riaz excused from appearing before the NAB's probe committee hearing Arsalan Iftikhar case.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) said the action will be unilaterally undertaken if the real estate tycoon does not appear before the investigation committee of the NAB.The NAB spokesman said Malik excused himself from appearing once again.The application filed by the real estate tycoon states that he cannot reach the NAB thanks to his appearance in Sindh High Court (SHC); hence, he needs time till July 23 to appear before the NAB.However, the NAB, rejecting the appeal, directed him to appear tomorrow (July 20); otherwise, the unilateral action will be taken against him.It should be mentioned here that Malik Riaz was to get his statement registered before the NAB’s probe committee; but, he did not show up owing to his appearance before the Supreme Court (SC).On this, the NAB summoned him today (July 19); however, this time round again, he said he cannot come.
