The technical problem in Guddu Thermal Power Station in Kashmor has been fixed and the electricity has been restored to different areas of Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan. Guddu Thermal Power Station caught fire on Thursday causing suspension of power supply to various areas. Fire suddenly erupted in unit-103 of the Power Station by falling electricity conductor into the oil tanker and fire spread to the Power Station. However, fire brigades controlled the flames after one-hour. The loss of hundred of million rupees is expected in the incident. The incident resulted in suspension of power supply to Ghotki, Deharki, Mir Pur Mathelo and Jacobabad while power supply suspended in different areas of Sindh like Sibbi and Nasir Abad and some areas of Punjab. DCO Kashmor said that power station was saved by immediate fire-control efforts.
