Summary SC Justice Shakirullah Jan has commented that law is equal to all and sundry.
It is demand of justice that every citizen should be treated without any discrimination, he said.Addressing a ceremony pertaining to International Justice Day, he said that shortage of resources and unjust distribution of wealth is a stumbling block in the way of justice.He advocated that societies get weak due to uncertain situation. The endeavours made by the world community for provision of justice to the poor and downtrodden are praiseworthy.“It is dire need of the hour to pay heed to the people who have been neglected and rejected by unjust system. Every citizen should be treated without any discrimination.”He said that number of judges in Pakistani courts is very low; every judge has to conduct hearing of more than 1000 cases.
