Summary PIA Chairman Rao Qamar Suleman said business plan has been submitted to the PM for approval.

He said this while briefing the Senate Standing Committee on Defense and Production at the Parliament House.The summary of the plan has been submitted to the Prime Minister for its approval, adding he hoped that when it would be approved by the PM it would surely bring it out from deficit, he added.The committee members complained to the Chairman PIA regarding the ill-behaviour of the PIA staff with the passengers.The Chairman PIA briefed the Committee that twenty to twenty-five years earlier the PIA staff had exemplary behaviour with the passengers while performing their duty. However, as the time has been passing, the people have sarcastic remarks about the PIA staff upon their performance.He further briefed that the Air Hostesses have been advised to keep smiling and be pleasant while serving the passengers.Rao Suleman informed the committee that in PIA’s fleet, it has old and over-aged airplanes and it needs huge amount for their repair while PIA needs small aircrafts in its fleet for short routs.He claimed that PIA has made arrangements of 737 (800) aircrafts and 777 (2) aeroplanes to buy on lease.Rao Qamar also informed that the PIA has made a comprehensive business plan to make it profitable. While the summary of the plan has submitted to the Prime Minister for its approval, adding he hoped that when it would be approved by the PM it would surely bring it out from deficit.The PIA chairman said that those who criticize on the performance of PIA forget that PIA is not private entity and we have to face lots of problems while making any decision.
