Lahore High Court justice Ijazul Hassan heard the application pertaining to the end of ‘VIP culture’ in the country.Advocate A. K Dogar stated on behalf of head of Jamaat-ud-Dawa, Hafiz Saeed, that presidency, PM house, governor houses and CM houses should be taken back from the leaders under the ideology of a welfare state.He stated that educational institutions like Atchison should be banned and a new education system on uniform basis should be introduced at all levels. Moreover, the petition stated that masses should not be charged for basic necessities of life including gas, petrol and telephone.The judge remarked that the leaders should not waste budget on their lavish lifestyle, adding that budget is the money of public. Adjourning the hearing till July 19, the judge directed the counsel of the applicant to continue his arguments in next hearing.
