Summary Shutterdown strike is being carried out in Quetta and other cities following the Kachlak blast.
The strike was observed on the call of Awami National Party (ANP) in Quetta.All business outlets in all major areas including Jinnah road, Shahrah Iqbal, Liaqat Bazaar, Masjid road were closed on Saturday.The workers of ANP kept on patrolling the streets on cars and motorcycles to avoid any untoward incident.The workers were holding black flags along with party flags.Many political and civil groups including Anjuman-e-Tajiran, JWP, Jamaat-e-Ullema and Pashtunkhwa Mili Awami party supported the strike.Six people lost their lives while 17 others sustained injuries in a bomb explosion near the venue of a rally arranged by ANP in Kuchlak area of Quetta on Friday.
