Summary Former PM Yousaf Raza Gilani Friday said he had been punished for obeying the constitution.
The former PM expressed these views in a meeting with Ambassador of Sudan in Pakistan, Al-Shafi Ahmad Mohammad at his residence.Yousaf Raza Gilani said that the constitution of Pakistan protects and give immunity to the President of Pakistan, adding “I acted according to the constitution and therefore was convicted”.“I have great intention to enhance more deeper and profound relations with Sudan, while these relations not only should be based on government to government but also people to people level”, the former PM maintained.Ambassador of Sudan in Pakistan, Al-Shafi Ahmad Mohammad on the occasion said that Sudan wants to boost its relations with all Islamic countries including Pakistan.“I intend to see more better, stronger and stable bilateral relations with Pakistan”, Al-Shafi Ahmad Mohammad.
