Summary A 6.1 magnitude earthquake jolted several cities of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday.
The first tremor of the earthquake was felt at 7:1pm while more tremors with 5.1 magnitude were also felt after two minutes in Islamabad and parts of Punjab including Rawalpindi, Lahore, Jehlum, Sargodha, Chiniot, Abbatabad, Malakand, Hafizabad, Kasur, Hafizabad, Sahiwal and Jalalpur Bhatiyan.According to Meteorological Office, the epicenter of the quake was located 194 kilometres deep under Koh-e-Hindukash.The earthquake also rocked parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Peshawar and its surrounding region including Mardan, Chitral, Nowshehra and Kohat.Meanwhile, the earthquake jolts were also felt on Afghanistan and Tajikistan border.
