Summary After successful talks with power looms owners, workers ended their long march towards Lahore.
Hundreds of power looms workers started their long march from Faisalabad towards Chief Minister Punjab’s tent office in Lahore on the call of Labour Qaumi Movement.The workers were of the view that their salaries have not been raised despite government’s announcement. The power looms owners accepted the demands of workers and announced 29 percent increase in their salaries. The protesting workers called off protest after acceptance of their demands and ended long march at the Khariyanwala Chowk.
