Summary Security has been beefed up in federal capital following reports of terror plot on DPC rally.

Senior Advisor on Interior Rehman Malik has directed Islamabad police to remain alert on the occasion of long march by Defence of Pakistan Council (DPC) in the federal capital after reports of terror attack on the rally.Malik directed Inspector General Islamabad Police to ensure that Rangers and Frontier Corps have been put on alert to avert any untoward incident during the long march.He said that checking should be tightened on all entry and exit points of the city and patrolling be increased.The Interior Advisor also ordered aerial surveillance of the area.He said that a vigilant eye should be kept on any suspicious persons.Both Rawalpindi and Islamabad police have been directed to extend full cooperation to each other to ensure security for the long march.
