The downpour continues in Punjab, Sindh and NWFP with different intervals while five people are killed and several injured in heavy rains in Karachi. The schools and others institutions will remain closed on Tuesday in the city. According to the Met Office, the downpours will continue in Punjab and Sindh during next 24 hours. The rain in Lahore and surrounding areas broke the heat spell. In Lahore six millimeter rain was recorded while in Sialkot three, Mangla 27 and in Murree 17 millimeter rain was recorded. In Sindh maximum rain was recorded in Thatta (83 millimeter). In Karachi 41mm, in Hyderabad 62mm, in Chour 32mm, in Mirpur Khas 24mm and in Nawab Shah 6mm rain was recorded. Several feeders tripped in Karachi suspending electricity supply to many areas. In Peshawar and other NWFP city the weather turned pleasant after the rain. In Peshawar 36mm, in Kohat and Timra Gara 12, in Dir 14, in Patan 18, in Abott Abad 9mm and in Bala Kot 21mm rain was recorded.
