Summary Senior Advisor on Interior Rehman Malik said nobody will be allowed to take the law in his hands.
Addressing a news briefing in Islamabad on Sunday, Senior Advisor on Interior Rehman Malik has said that the govenrment will not create any hurdle in the way of tomorrows long march of Defence of Pakistan Council but nobody will be allowed to take the law in his hands.He said that all kinds of security measures have been adopted to avoid any untoward incident during the long march. He said that Punjab Police and Islamabad police will fully cooperate with each others to check any untoward incident on this occasion.The advisor on interior said that security cameras have been installed and four helicopters deployed along the route of the long march to ensure security.Rehman Malik said that the Prime Minister has directed to provide all facilities‚ including security and drinking water‚ to participants of the long march.However‚ he said that members of the proscribed organizations will not be allowed to come to Islamabad and indulge in any activities.The Interior Advisor appealed to leaders of the Defence Council not to challenge the writ of the government. He said that the DPC leaders have assured him that their protest march will be peaceful and they will cooperate with the security agencies.
