LHC Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial heard the petition filed by Faisal Ilyas Sadiq through his counsel Saif-ul-Malook seeking the disqualification of PML-N MPA Rana Asif.Rana Asif’s counsel told the court that the respondent MPA had Canadian passport but was not a citizen.The petitioner’s counsel informed the court that according to Canadian constitution if a person had passport then he was also a national. Therefore, Rana’s membership as member of provincial assembly should be suspended.The court ordered the MPA’s lawyer to file his reply till July 10 and adjourned the hearing of the case.
