Summary The onset of monsoon season is likely from tomorrow, says Met office.
The first spell of monsoon rains will start from tomorrow and will continue till July 8. However, more rains are expected in the second week of July.Meanwhile, weather turned pleasant after Azad Kahsmir and Abbottabad received rainfall on Wednesday.However, weather remained hot and dry in the plain areas of the country. Temperature was recorded as 47 degree Celsius in Bhawalnagar, Bhakkar, and Bannu. Temperature in other major cities was recorded as:Thirty four in Karachi, forty Quetta, thirty nine Lahore, forty two Islamabad, forty three Peshawar and forty two degree centigrade was recorded in Muzaffarabad. According to met office, gusty winds are likely to blow in Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi and Hazara division.
