Summary Shopkeepers seized a police man when he was collecting extortion from people.
Two colleagues of policeman managed to escape from the scene.According to sources, three police employees in civil uniform came with the intention to collect extortion from shopkeepers at Allah Wala Market at MA Jinnah Road.The angry and irritated shopkeepers cordoned off the extortionists but luckily two of them succeeded in escaping while one was ruthlessly tortured.Shopkeepers also protested against police and shouted slogans at MA Jinnah Road, halting flow of traffic for some time. They were of the view extortionists have made their lives full of sufferings and agonies. That is why they were bound to beat them as a reaction.They also demanded the high-ups to take action against these elements that have sabotaged the peace and tranquility of the city for their vested interests.
