Lahore High Court’s three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial on Wednesday resumed the hearing of the case against President Asif Ali Zardari for holding dual offices.During the case proceeding, Additional Deputy AG told the court that he had not received any notice regarding president’s dual offices.The petitioners counsel AK Dogar stated that under the constitution a person cannot carry out political engagements as a president but President Asif Ali Zardari is still acting as co-chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party.Zardaris continuous indulgence in the political activities and holding the party officeis violation of the court order, Dogar said, adding that a contempt notice should be issued against the president.Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandia remarked that it is duty of the President of Pakistan to comply with court orders.The bench, however, gave another chance to the president to leave one his offices.Hearing of the case has been adjourned for an indefinite period of time.
