The United Nations in its statement on Monday in connection of ‘International Anti-Narcotics Day’ said that use of drugs and its smuggling is major hurdle in progress and development in the world.As per the statement, the money, which is gained through illegal trade, is being used for terrorist activities and other crimes for instance human trafficking.The UN reported that the Central American countries are the hub of illegal drug business, which is creating tense situation in the region and the entire world, adding it is creating violent environment in the society. Therefore, this region is at top in killing and violence activities across the world.According to estimates, 10 million drug addicts are present in Pakistan while 0.6 million become drug addict annually. According to survey, in 10 million drug addicts 80 percent are men and 20 percent women.
