Summary
A petition has been filed in Supreme Court today against decision of July 31. The appeal to reconsider July 31 decision has been filed by Advocate Akram Shaikh, representing Advocate Nadeem Ahmed. The petitioner is of the view that November 3 steps have not been termed completely unconstitutional by the court. Also, the ordinance issued under PCO should be abolished completely, the petitioner demanded. The petitioner is of the view that the Supreme Court was not authorised to give 120 days to the Parliament on any ordinance. The petitioner also demanded to reopen the cases related to NRO. NRO was issued on October 5, 2007 and it was included in the 37 ordinances referred to the Parliament. PCO judges were challenged on the bases of those ordinances and the decision of July 31 was made.
