Summary Rain and thunderstorm reduced the intensity of heat in many cities.

Weather turned cloudy and windstorm started Sunday afternoon which reduced the heat intensity in several cities including Lahore, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Dera Ismail Khan.In Sheikhupura wall of DPO office collapsed and injured five people while a woman died and two persons critically injured as roof of a house collapsed in Muridke.On the other side weather remained extremely hot in most parts of the country in interior Sindh and south Balochistan and Sibi, Turbat and Noorpur Thal remained hottest cities of the country where temperature crossed 47C.Moreover, Met Office has predicted start of monsoon from Tuesday that has provided respite to the heat stricken people.Maximum temperature recorded in different cities was: Islamabad 42C, Lahore 43C, Quetta 33C, Multan 43C, Karachi 34C and Peshawar 42C.Several people were injured when some vehicles collided on the Motorway due to dust storm.
