Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that he was ready to mediate between Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz and Muttahida Qaumi Movement to resolve their confrontation started following some disclosures about army operating against MQM in 1992. Malik said this talking to media following his meeting with British counterpart Allan Johnson on Wednesday, prior to the start of President Asif Ali Zardaris visit, who will be seeking greater wide-ranging cooperation between the two countries in all spheres. In the meeting, Pakistan and the United Kingdom agreed to facilitate the thousands of Pakistanis detained or living illegally, by issuing them emergency travel documents to enable them return home. Malik said that terrorists were wiped out of Malakand and Swat and now they are being hunt in Waziristan. He said that he would meet Altaf Hussain in London and discuss different matters of concern.
