Summary Judiciary should not be biased and the verdicts should be announced on merit, CJP said.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry on Friday detached himself from all the cases of Bahria Town.A judicial order released by a three member bench headed by the chief justice said that the contempt case was being heard against Malik Riaz- the former chairman of Bahria Town -who has raised allegation on Judiciary and the Chief Justice.Therefore the chief justice will not be a part of any bench hearing Bahria Town cases.The chief justice remarked that judiciary should not be biased and the verdicts should be announced on merit.While adjourning the hearing of Bahria Town guard’s killing case till June 25, CJP said that a new bench would be formed to hear the case.
