Summary Supreme Court directs the law enforcement agencies to locate the missing persons wherever they are.
A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry resumed the hearing of Balochistan law and order and missing persons’ case on Wednesday.Giving an interim order on Balochistan law and order situation‚ the apex court noted that the responsibility rests with the state to ensure protection of life and property of its citizens.The apex court said the performance of the law enforcement agencies is not up to the expectations of the people.During the hearing, Attorney General Irfan Qadir presented the report of a high-powered commission on Balochistan.A joint probe team was constituted to recover the missing however no developments could take place on that front, the report stated.Defence Secretary Nargis Sethi told the court that she has presented a report regarding the 93 persons. She said neither of these people are with the ISI or any other agency.
