Summary At least 8 people were killed in acts of violence in different parts of Karachi.
Target killing continues in Karachi as 8 people, including a police official, were killed in different parts of the city while a target killer, Liquat Bangash, was also killed.According to details, a police official was shot dead and his son was critical wounded in Sarjani Town Sector L-1.Some unidentified person shot dead two people in Baghdadi and Baldia Town areas while three people were shot dead in Nagori Stops area in Gadap Town.In yet another incident of violence, two people including a woman were shot dead near Farm House on Super Highway.Meanwhile police have also recovered three dead bodies from different parts of the city. In Quaidabad area, a boy was killed while a man was critically injured in firing during a marriage ceremony.On the other hand, Liaquat Bangash, an alleged target killer was critically injured as he jumped from 4th storey of a building in Rabia City area while trying to escape during a police raid. Liaquat Bangash was rushed to nearby hospital where he died. He was wanted by police in several cases of murders.The incident of death of Liaquat Bangash sparked violence and tension in Pehalwan Goth, Safwara, Rabia City and Sachal areas. Liaquat Bangash’s funeral prayers was attended by large number of ANP leaders and workers.
